Wild and Free Supply was started by Lukas & Suzy VanDyke as they were visiting friends in Honduras. As they traveled, Lukas realized carrying a big bulky wallet in his back pocket in a rather dangerous developing country probably wasn't a good idea. So he bought a piece of leather at the local factory and stitched together a smaller front pocket travel wallet. As their trip progressed, he encountered so many wonderful people who were desperate for jobs. Many of them wanted to support their families but couldn't find work. With this burden on his heart, over the course of a few weeks, he tweaked the original wallet design, formalized the process, and opened up a small production space. They were soon able to give some of their Honduran friends steady jobs making wallets and other products all while paying them a fair livable wage. This is how Wild & Free Supply was born!
With the steady proliferation of unethical trade practices and slave labor in so many developing countries, we strongly believe in making a best effort to find out where your products come from and how buying them will help rather than hurt people. All of our products are handmade with integrity.
